Registrations Open for the 14th Edition of the Cascais Surf Program for Employability

Registration are open for the 14th Edition of the Cascais Surf Program for Employability, a 5-week program that takes place at the Nova School of Business and Economics and whose ultimate objective is to provide participants with personal and professional tools that promote entry into the market. of work. This is a program developed by the Surf Social Wave Association together with Cascais Municipal Council, Nova SBE, Randstad, Way Beyond among other partners.



Participants surf twice a week at Praia de Carcavelos, do yoga, have individual and group coaching sessions. It also has sessions in different areas, such as economics, finance and accounting, marketing and communication, management and planning, project development, digital tools, entrepreneurship and active job search. The trainers range from Nova SBE professors to specialists in their respective areas, in order to convey an academic vision, but also a more practical and objective vision in the different areas. The program also provides lectures with several speakers whose life stories are truly inspiring.



The Cascais Surf Program for Employability has already received a total of 130 participants and has an 80% success rate (return to the job market) and of these, 80% found a job in the intended area and 20% started to build a project.



The Surf Social Wave Association holds 4 editions a year. This edition will be the third of 2022.

May 11, 2022 - Registration Opening

June 13, 2022 - Closing of Applications

14 June and 15 June 2022 – Selection of candidates and interviews

16 and 17 June 2022 – Confirmation and communication to selected participants

June 20, 2022- Program Start - Presentation - 9:00 am

July 22, 2022- Program Closing Session



This program has the fundamental support of the Municipality of Cascais, Nova SBE, Randstad, Way Beyond, Sushi at Home, Billabong Portugal, DNA Cascais, Stone Capital, Fiuza, Vda-Vieira de Almeida , from Power X by IC, from CRQL – Lombos Praia, from ASSW Surf Academy, from Surfrider Foundation Lisbon, from the Portuguese Surfing Federation, and is co-financed by the European social fund through Portugal Inovação Social, Portugal 2020 and Lisbon 2020.
